Vinous Neal Martin - 05 Jan 23
The 2021 Monthélie Les Clous 1er Cru has a perfumed, "transparent" bouquet with wild strawberries, red cherries and more mineralité than the Aux Fournereaux. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and peppery red fruit with an appealing sense of symmetry and focus on the cassis-tinged finish. This is a delightful wine that punches above its weight.
